Hi there!
I'm brand new here and to the subject. For about one week I own a 1997 Discovery TDi. After about two hours of ownership I realised some oil spots under the car... and after a couple of days I've learned that the transfer box is just doing what transfer boxes do: leaking.
Now, looking around on this forum can be a bit overwhelming for a beginner. Can someone prompt me to some of the must/ should knows about my vehicle? Also: is there a good manual available for download somehow? And: Should I even think about getting my trandfer box dry (outside)? Is there a product to put in and seal from the inside? Is it very expensive to have someone work it over? Is it reasonable to give it a go myself with mediocre mechanical talent? ...
Cheers,
Spock

the old saying is,,
be worried when it stops dripping,
cos its empty!
By all means clean it up and get a good idea where its leaking from.
