I broke the wifes car :(

I had a bit of an accident in the wifes car not long ago, Going around a roundabout, i sneezed, and hit a semi trailer parked just after the roundabout. Both airbags went off, luckily have my seat back far enough not to get wacked in the face, but the plastic bits on the steering wheel gave me some good bruises on the wrists.

The car was ONLY a 2000 commodore, but gee we had some memorys in that car. I bought it 3 1/2 years ago, writen off, and fixed it up for my expecting fiance at the time (a birthday present). She chose the colour (blueprint) and the body kit (vx ss), and i had it finished in time to be used as our wedding car. Then when #1 son was born, it bought him safely home from the hospital. It took us around victoria, and up to brisbane to get my mog diffs. Then last month, it bought my newborn daughter home from the hospital aswell.

Luckily i was alone in the car when i hit the truck, because if there was someone in the passengers seat, they would have been hurt.

Gee i feel bad for the wife, as the car meant alot to her, and unfortunately it is not repairable this time. The roof is buckled, and the shell is so badly twisted, i had to kick the drivers door open to get out. The gearstick even dissapeared through the floor.

She has now put me incharge of finding her a new car with the insurance payout, so i have to find hersomthing special. I'm thinking a caprice around 03/04 (she does not like p38s before you ask).

    G'day Andy,

Glad to hear you're all right! Sorry about the car. You might want to check with the wife about the Statesman, tho - they're a big thing to park!
