A different grill for the D2

I was wondering if i could get hold of a grill similar to the Rang Rover sport, well i found a discussion about this very topic on another site and it has some pics, i may see if i can find out more about this as it looks bloody great

I think mixing vehicles like that doesn't work all that well. What was made for a D2 generally looks good on a D2. The D3/RRS etc are all parts that have come from a totally different design sheet and in my opinion don't really match the D2. Likewise I wouldn't put D2 parts onto a D3/RRS.

I have mixed thoughts about the look:

    • I quite like the grill...
    • I hate the wheels
    • And considering where the air intake is on the TD5 or the V8 - can't really see the point in the air intake grill in the guard.

I'm suspecting the Discovery doesn't see too many dirt roads

The D2 purist wil wanna throw up.
I like the titanium coloured one, just get rid of the side sills.
The red D2... What were they thinking. My true words will get me suspendid from this forum.

Those wheel sizes are currently the "inn" thing in South Africa with up to 22" available.
Mostly the single cab and double cab pick up's.
Has not hit the D2 or D1 scene yet.
At least the Land Rovers have proper brakes to go with the wheels.
Most pick ups here have drum brakes at the rear.

I do disagree on that one I did have original 5 spoke D2 wheels on this but I like the look of these 18" RR wheels way more.
Bit of a hassle with different wheel nuts and hub rings but I think it is worth it.
This is the highway setup (95%) and to be honest haven't had the chance to do any beach driving yet but sure they will be okay.
