    18" AT tyre poll

With all the talk re tyres lately I thought a poll might be informative, not to mention that I need to do something about tyres before June 30.

    What tyre would you recommend?

The poll is specifically for 18" AT tyres where the spare will fit as is.

    Product links:
    ContiCrossContactAT
General Tire * The Tires * Light Truck
    PIRELLI - Scorpion ATR
    Yokohama / OUR TYRES / Geolandar A/T-S
    Cooper ATR
    Open Country A/T
    MA-S1 Marauder

What about Cooper H/T Plus, doesn't it fit the spare?

    It's not an A/T.

What are you wanting to achieve with the poll?

Every tyre is different; construction, cost, pattern, availability...whichever one garners the most votes doesn't mean to say it's the best for you.

Just re-read my opening post and realised I didn't actually ask a question

I'm about to blow 2k+ on tyres and I'm not an expert by any measure. I'm interested to see what the majority are keen on. The poll is about data, not yakking on about the pros and cons as the threads on the subject are want to be.

I also think that the core issue of 18" tyres is one all of us D3 SE owners are interested in.

OK, but yakking on about pros and cons is exactly what you want in order to get the info you need to make a call for your specific situation. That's why there's so much yakking.

WhiteD3 is right it is not an AT tyre but pretty robust and will fit, to answer the question.

I have HT+s at the moment but am about to put General Grabber ATs on.

    Aren't the Grabbers popular!

Apparently BFG do an R18 AT but they neglected to give the name/size info. Chasing that now.

    265/65/18 All-Terrain T/A KO, light truck, 122R, RRP $583. However I'd say that's too large for the D3.

When I got mine they were the only choice with a track record. Everything else was new so I played it safe.

I think a lot of others did as well.

    Cheers, Steve
