    Smile Centre console

Hey guys. does anyone have any pics on what is under the console of the puma defender.I know im being lazy but its just to see what is under it so i can build and underneath drawer and to raise the console up a fraction.I also wish to relocate the electronics from under the drivers seat to under here as well. Any pics of the space under the console would be appreciated.
    Regards:

    Eck

Basically nothing the seatbox carries through.

4 screws and the console comes out. then it would be a simple job to raise the box to fit what ever you want to there.

I took mine out to get the aerial lead and power through to UHF radio which is mounted to the side of the console.

The cubby is held down on to 4 rivnuts by 4 torx head bolts. This is all on to a panel which is simply screwed in place - 2 at front 2 on each side. The plate is the same otherwise as under a seat and has a foam seal. Under that is the gearbox, transfer case etc. The gap to this is over 2". The whole lot takes about 5 minutes to remove.

    Hi Daniel,

I had a look at this and it appears it may not fit the SVX model because of the cup holders hitting the stubby lever when in high range if i lift it up with this underneath. Have you had any SVX owners purchase? Do you know if they have had issues? Because I would love this!

    Cheers,

    Nigel

If it's the same as the Frontrunner box (which it looks very much like in the picture) then the lever is cleared.

It is not the same as the Frontrunner box, which is not as high - thus would not fit the electronics and won't lift the cubby box to a comfortable height.

We currently designing one for the latest Defender model.
