G'day all, i just want to make sure i got the right idea here. I am
    98 percent sure i have a 1962 Series 2a...

I've just had the leaf springs replaced and now my steering arms hit the springs, i'll put up a pick.
From what i understand the steering arms on a series 2 are positioned over the axle but are underneath on a 2a?

Is the steering just upside down on my car?

I havn't seen a series 2 steering setup, but to me your steering arm is upside down
Both on our county and disco's they sit the otherway up
Yep i think they are upside down

    2A steering arms come out from under the hub (S3 as well). My first question would be;
    is yours a 2A ?
if so, has it had a front diff swapped sometime in it's life ?

I wondered if you could merge the threads or delete one or smth?

I'm almost certain its a 2a! is there a way of looking up the vin number to find out for sure? the springs are the same on all the models i think? I've only had the it for 3 years so it could be possilbe that the
    last owner made some changes.
It seems an odd mistake to make to put the steering arm on upside down?

even then if i do put it on the bottom of the axle the holes for the tie rod ends will be the other way around, i'm trying to picture it as the back bar is longer than the front.. do i make any sense?

    Ron - thanks

Andwoo, post up your chassis number and a vehilce pic. I'm sure someone will be able to help. I don't think it is as simple as just swapping steering arms from the bottom to top.

    Andwoo

It is a 1961 model S2, the 4th digit in the number indicates year (8 for 58, 9 -59, 0-60, 1-61 for the series 2's). So the steering arms should be coming from the top of the hubs. I am still really new at this stuff too, so I can not offer any advice on the fixit side of things.

On the bright side (for me anyway), this is my first technical assist, so I am pretty chuffed that I could help someone (you) as others have helped me.
