    What oil in the gearbox?

Maybe a change to something like Syntrans could smooth things up.

It could also be the handbrake binding.
My shoes have a bit of oil on them & they stick to the drum if left applied for a few days. I feel it when I reverse down the driveway & don't feel it when driving forwards. After a km or so, it's fine in reverse too.

no oil from the main oil seal i think is the issue contaminates the clutch
