D1 Front seats
For some time I have been thinking about the scuffing on the outer edge of the front driver seat.
After 12yrs., not quite threadbare, but noticably worn.
Contemplating a (probably expensive) visit to the motor trimmer I had a sudden thought. What if the front seats are interchangeable? Being a mainly only driver occupied vehicle and also bearing in mind the scuffing is only on the outer edge that could be a nice easy solution.
So after 45mins of work (10mm. socket & 45T driver) I now have a "as new" driver seat, and a passenger seat where you have to look hard to see the wear, being against the console.
Thank you LR for a neat (but perhaps unintended) design feature.

Pity this changed in the D2 because of the backrest and lumbar adjustment knobs being on the inside of the seats. If you exchange the seats, these would be impossible to reach

Franz.
Those knobs ARE now on the outside of the seats!
I could have changed the seat backs over, but I also cant remember when I last adjusted supports whilst on the move.
Easy enough to do with the door open, could just about manage it with them closed.
