It's a dual mass flywheel.
This part of it is worn even though the clutch will still be fine.
I had the same symptoms, spigot noises and pulsing but clutch was fine.
200K Km's for the flywheel clutches only lasted 100K Km's.
Hi Guys
My D2 TD5 has had the groaning spigot bearing for well over 2 years.Always the same groan from a cold start till a few ks and all is good.
Last saturday I stopped after a trip up to the city and back and the clutch pedal had quite a vibration pulsing thru it.I double depressed it and all went good, has done a return trip again with no issues.
If I lightly rest my foot on the clutch pedal whilst starting I can briefly feel the same vibration.
Doesnt slip, gearchange and clutch action seem normal for my D2.
Ideas please.
Thanks
Andrew

I don't know if this is correct, a Landy repairer told me that the D2 flywheels cannot be machined like the D1s.
.
