What size? 285/75 or 305/70
Hey all, I am going to get me some cooper STT's to go on some new 16x8 (either ET0 or ET25) i'm goint to buy soon, but i don't know what size to go for,
Copper STT's
285/75x16 = 33.10" or;
305/70x16 = 33.07"
Obviously the 305's are going to be wider, and more stable?
They are going on a 94 range rover which has a 2" suspension lift and will have XL flares before the wheels go on.
Also i'm thinking of going with the ET0 offset, this will give me some of my lost turning circle? and should fill the flares out nicely?
Everyones' opinions appreciated.
Thanks Ryan

i'd stick with the 285's, handle better, and way quieter then the 305's.

Agree with above.
Wider does not mean more stable, if anything, a 245/75 be more stable.
Only on sand does a wide tread like that make sense really.
The extra strain and wear on all your running gear and if on a trip, you be pushing to try and get a spare should you need to.
My2c worth.
