Not worth it in my opinion.
If you did have rust issues under warranty, that modification could be used as a get out clause.
Not wanting to add salt into any wounds - I just realised that is a real aweful pun, sorry - but does anyone have any rust problems with their D3?
I take delivery tommorow and was considering electronic protection.

I haven't heard of
A: Rust issues with D3s and
B: Any proof that electronic rust countermeasures actually work.
I've got no rust but do have LR approved and fitted electronic rust protection.
From memory the car is guaranteed against rust for 10 years provided the rust protection box of tricks is "serviced" (check the green LED is lit) by LR at each service.
Does it work? Don't know (although I understand the principle) and frankly don't care. Will it help with resale? Possibly, which is why I had it put on.
Cynical, sceptical and hopeful all in one paragraph....I'd better go and have a lay down![]()
I had one fitted to my D2 and at 8 years old when I sold it there was no rust on it whatsoever, I was on the beach regular and being from a country where they put salt on the roads for a few months of the year and watching the results on the cars it was the first thing I had fitted when I got my D3
Peace of mind if nothing else

My car is no stranger to Straddy and Rainbow beach, one of the reasons I had the ERPS fitted
