    Series 1 - ID Please

    Hello all

Can someone please help me to ID this Series 1. The owner says that it is a 1948 model but it may be early 50s.

    Chassis number is 28182008.

    Regards
    Stuart

Looks a nice little 1952 model, has a fairly hard to find cab. Be a good project.

I think that chassis number should be 261 not 281, which would make it a 1952 model.

    1952 Model details

    Hi Stuart,
Check the number when you can.

When you get a closer look you will probably find the number is 2616xxxx indicating RH Drive Export.
If it is 2666xxxx it is RH Drive CKD (locally assembled from a Completely Knocked Down vehicle)

Unfortunately I had to stick the camera in the window, point it at the plate and hope for the best.

I have used the 'Negative' option on the photo editing to try and bring out the number.

Pic of the cab from inside. It's in excellent undamaged condition.

I make that 26162008, which should make it a fully imported 1952 model if my information is correct.

It's a very nice little truck, particularly as mentioned before having the truck cab.

It has the one piece guards introduced in 1951 (by the look of the photos), the correct 1952 thin perspex aluminium channel window frames and with the square cornered tops even the flat seats backs (#302609) are correct for the year.

Check out Markets as it is now for sale.

I have been asked to advertise the S1 for it's owner and any enquiries will be directed to him.
