Anyone in the upper mountains that can give me hand getting the steering wheel off. I have pulled, I have whacked, I have wiggled and I can't get it to budge.
I need to do this as I have to replace my blinker switch.

Well I went to Simon's and we spent a good 1 1/2 hrs trying and still it won't budge. We tried the steering wheel puller and all we could achieve is bending the screws.
Is there something special about Defender Td5 steering wheels and their splines?
And I only got abused once between Blackheath and Katoomba for not using my blinkers. So I hung the new switch out the window and smiled.
Thanks again for your help Simon.

I think you just going to have to be patient. Get some penetating oil happening. Don't take the nut off completely as the wheel can fly off and smack ya in the gob.Try rocking it side to side, top to bottom (You don't have an airbag do you?) Get a stronger wheel puller. The sucker went on there so it has to be able to come off....hey! I would be carrying a spray can of whatever and spray the S.O.B. everytime you look at it.
keep the pressure up it cannot outlast you, it cannot outlast you, it cannot outlast you....K?

Well I started this little job at 11.45 am this morning. At 7.45 pm it came off.

Yay.
Should be fine I reckon, as long as the contacts aren't damaged.
