dobinson flexi coils? which way around?

    Hi all,

Just bought a set of dobinson 2 inch lift flexi springs....they have a extra few coils at one end - does any one know if the 'extra coils' end goes to the top or the bottom?

Also, No one seems sure if the 'left' coil means passenger side, or drivers side? I have read some forums where people cant agree about this either?

I cant tell the difference, any one got any ideas?

    Cheers.

The extra coils go to the top, and the drivers side coil should be slightly longer than the passenger side

What Tim,(Long stroke) says is right, BUT I have seen heaps of early 110's and Defenders with the coils installed the other way up from new

It really doesn't matter which way they go up, but I am more inclined to fit the close wound ones to the top.

They are can be handed as said before the right hand slightly longer. I have seen people mix the longer rear with right front though with non handed springs.

I also have always seen the close progressive coils downward as well. Putting them up may let the grime fall out easier, cant see any other advantage really.
