    7.50 bar treads

Hi some one posted a link for Bar Treads
    I can not find it
This is the reply I got from a firm that is selling them

    "Hi Ian,

Thanks for the email on the 700-16 ribbed tyres. We have the Firestone with a rib style and they are $315ea.

What are they to go on?

    Ben"

I wonder at $1575 a set of 5, how many they have sold
    cheers
    Ian

I have just ordered 5 700x16 tyres from our continental dealer, not sure of the make. $155 plus $30 for tubes fitted. The 7.50 x16 were $175 fitted. The picture showed staggered blocks on the outside and zigzags in the centre. I can post details when they arrive if anyone is interested.

That's what you get when you want to buy .... Antique Tyres!

You can often buy the same tyres from Universal Tires in the USA and land them via FedEx cheaper than the place that sells the Antique Tyres in Oz.

However if you do buy O/S make sure that any one delivery comes to less than $A1,000.00 landed in Oz including the cost of the tyres and shipping, or you'll have to pay GST and other duties that may be payable.

BTW. No Series 1 Land Rover had 7.50 tyres fitted OEM and 7.50 16 tyres should be on a 5 1/2" rim minimum where the Series 1 rims were only 5" (or 4 1/2" for the 1948)!

Firestone NDT 7.00 16 Universal Vintage Tire

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I have asked for a shipping quote on the 7.50-16 Bar Treads from this mob. I'll let you know how much it is.

I bought four new 7.50x16 NDT tyres last year. I got two for $50 each, and the other two for $110 each.

You need to contact someone like Mainfreight and then take a second loan on your house.

Someone identified a crowd on ebay that will act as your agent for ebay purchases including vintage and classic cars etc.
