    one speed a/c

    well to day off alldays my aircon fan speed only works on fullblast, the temp settings still work as normal, but the blower dont work on 1-2 but works on 3,

    im thinking fan speed resistor,, but since i havent come acrose this prob at work im hoping sumone elce has and no a fix for it, or eny idears,

    I think I've got the same problem; sometimes 3 speeds, sometimes none! The engine note still changes pitch on all 3 clicks but no blower.
    Is it an easy job to replace?

    iv had a qwick look for it,,, but can sumone tell me were the resistor is on a 04 td5

    Also, whilst mine changes with each setting, the highest setting isn't high enough. Is this also a problem with the resistor?

    so this dose sound lik a bit of a prob with this cars,,, i did a serch an found nothing,,, but talking to ppl and there like yer mines dose that,,,

    thats usually the resistor pack, as mentioned.

    the fans are pretty asthmatic, but this symptom matches a dodgy earth as well as the start of bearing failure. If it starts blowing fuses on the top setting but not on the first and second its the fan motor.

    thats usually the switch contacts not playing the game or the earth connection on the fan motor. Easys a relative term, I reckon its all easy in a shed class. its not too bad in a D1 either.
