    2nd battery installation

I am about to install a aux. battery under the passengers seat in my new 110.Is it ok to install a N70 lead acid type or install a low or no maintenance type. The original has a breather going through the floor so will the new one also need some sort of breather.

Batteries need to 'breathe', but if your Defender is anything like mine, there's enough holes in that box under the passenger seat to let out anything noxious. Be sure to clamp the battery in place - trays are available - and avoid any chaffing to the cables.
