    Tow Bar options?

I have a RR Sport with a partial tow bar kit (clever that..) so am in need of the square tube section, tongue & ball part that slides into the "plough" bit that locks into the bar on the car, and makes the tow bar usable. Can anyone tell me if any after market (Hayman Reese etc) bits will fit or does it have to be the $200 OEM part? Seems like a lot of dough for something you can get for $50 elsewhere than LR parts???

    Cheers!

I have a Land Rover labeled bar on my disco and a Hayman Reece style parts fit it ok.

Without seeing yours, I don't know for sure, but it would make sense if it was the same.

I suggest you measure the size of the square opening. If it is approximately 53 mm inside, you can be reasonably confident - the mating Haymen Reece part is 50 mm outside. The locking pin is approx 16 mm diameter.

Both generic brand and Haymen Reese tongues fit my Land Rover towbar on my D2 (had to buy a new one to get the horsefloat to sit level)

You should not have a problem.
