    Rear side seats

Anyone able to post photos of their rear side seats for a Defender wagon? I picked one up second hand, but can't really see where it's meant to bolt to. It has some type of catch on one side, but my Defender doesn't have the latch mechanism for it to go into.

It was a bit of an impulse buy - if it's too much mucking around to fit it, I'll sell it.

The anchor points have changed over the years, different from County to Defender. What are your seats out of?

On my County the backrest has tongues that slide into the gutter mount on the rear tub, the base has 4 bolts (M6 from memory) that bolt through the seat box.

Apparently the Defenders are a different setup that I am not familiar with.

I have rear county seats fitted into my '95 Defender. If you remove the grey plastic trim from around the side windows, you should see the slots into which the tongues from your seat tops slot into.

Take the trim off and it's pretty obvious.

I cut some clearance pieces out of my trim before replacing it so that the tongues could slide into the slots.

The seats are now complianced and the vehicle registered as a 9 seater.
