These inserts look similar to the ones I bought at Supercheap auto, just to check how they were, and they turned out quite good.
I upgraded the standard 2004 Defender H4's with relay wiring, and more powerful bulbs, but was still worried by the EU very sharp cut-off pattern on low beam. (all EU spec lenses are very similar in this regard). The light was good but past the cut-off I couldn't see at all!
I found the el-cheapo's had a little more graduation at the edges which made it easier to see, but have had NO problem with annoying other drivers. Be careful though, as some cheap brands have poor focus and far too much light bleed.
With any lens upgrade, you will get a lot of improvement by fitting relays to supply the light current, rather than the standard set-up where ALL the current has to go through the light switch on the steering column. (If you have not done this already)
Cheers,
Lionel
