    Puma Bull Bar

    Hi all,

I have found a TD5 110 being wrecked. It has an ARB winch bull bar on the front. Does anyone know if this will bolt onto the front of my Puma 110?

I know the A/C condensor and intercooler push the front grill out quite a bit further, but it seems there is a lot of room behind the ARB bar.

Part of the reason I am puzzled about this is that when I asked for a price from ARB on a new bar they said their TD5 bar does not fit and they have not created a bar for the Puma and therefore couldn't help me. But I know there a quite a few of you out there with ARB bars on your Pumas...

ARB Darwin has a distinct dislike of Land Rovers. I have an ARB bar on my Puma. Frankly though if I was to do it again I'd look at a lighter weight bar like the Mantec or Equip4x4, etc winch bars.

I'm pretty sure others have the ARB bar off the Td5 on their Puma though.

    Hey Oldis...

I have ordered an ARB winch bar for my Puma SVX, the production run at ARB is set for mid October and delivery later in the month.

No doubt the bar is available for defenders 2007 on wards. Although, it has to be modified to fit an SVX due to driving light position.

I spoke to the guy at "British Off-Road" in Queensland about a second hand ARB bar fitted to a 1997 model. When I check with ARB the guy said 2001 onwards (Air Conditioned models) will fit a Puma, but I would double check before buying the TD5 version.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Hi there,
TD5 bar will fit. I bought mates 06 TD5 - he took the ARB winch bar off the TD5 and we bolted it straight onto the 'Puma' no worries at all.

    Hope this helps.

Whilst I'm sure the info above is correct (that the TD5 bar will fit), ARB have produced a Puma specific bar - perhaps ring them to find out why they developed a new specific bar for the Puma.

I gave a county bar to a member on here with an SVX. He told me it fitted fine.

I thought someone here (Dullbird?) got a Td5 bar for their Puma and then had to sell it because the mounting was somehow different? If what this thread is suggesting is true, I would much prefer a non-winch ARB Td5 bar for my Puma. This has additional parking lights in the bar as well as the indicators and none of the metal tabs and cutouts for a non-existent winch.

no it was for non A/C........

and I didn't know ARB had a puma specific bar as far as I was aware it was just some extensions or something for the bracketry on the mounting of a td5 bar...(i.e it was not a redesigned bar to fit this model)

that just came from my neighbour that worked for them...hoever he has not been there now for probably 8 or 9 months so things could have changed..

    Hi Drover,

Are they just cutting the bar so the driving lights are not covered? Are there other modifications required?

According to Devon 4X4 the ARB winch bumper is available for the puma outside of the EU because of the bull bar laws here,so you can get them in Aus.
