Could you send me a pic of the sump pan?
I have a series 2 in parts(bought that way), it has a Holden engine in it, but there's heaps of spare parts, and what could well be the sump pan your after.
After a spell away from Land Rovers I hope to do some work on my '58 Series 2 soon and I'm still looking for a sump pan because the original has rusted through.

The S2 came with a 2.25 fitted (runs OK & doesn't smoke) and the original 2.0 litre engine which had been stored in a dirt floored garage. The sump pan has corroded away.
I haven't got the time to fabricate one, as someone suggested last time I posted a wanted ad, and wondered if a 1600 sump pan is identical ?
Hopefully someone out there has a scrap motor that has a usable sump.
Regards,
Colin

3 Sisters,
Not sure if attached picture helps (its from my Series 1)
The 2 litre was fitted only to the very early Series 2 SWB. I'm not sure whether the sump is significantly different on the 2.25 motor.

Part number for the 2 litre sump is 246201, and the 2.25 is 247522, so they are different. How different I dont know. You may be lucky if it is only the internal baffles and could at least modify a 2.25l one to fit if the flange and bolt holes are the same?
