I'd agree with what Lou said.  If it isn't broken don't get it fixed.  If you are going to be somewhere remote consider getting a spare pump.  I discussed this with LR before my trip but I would have had to buy it outright as the other wasn't being replaced.
Pays to keep an eye on it when travelling.  If it is starting to go you will see a slight black weep of oil on the horizontal bracket and oil fume residue over the back of the pump.  At that point you probably have a few thousand kilometres to go but no one knows for sure.
