Seat Runners

Last week I ordered a set of seat runners from Landrover tuning only to find, thanks to Dirk, that they do not fit my SVX. I found this compony to be very honest and helpfull throught this transaction and wish them well. Back to the runners, has anyone tried these runners, they offer lots more leg room than standard. Got to be better.

Thats right on the money, I used 25 mil tube, high tensile bolts,black paint and push in chair feet. Looks good ,only cost $12 (both sets) and makes a 7 hr drive a little more posh.

I have some new seat runners hear for about half price if you want them. Fitted them up and had heaps more leg room but ran out of head room so I took them out again. I am 6" 4 . In the end I just cut out a small grove where the seat runners hit behind the seat which gave me another 40 mm or so of travel, now my knees dont hit the dash, works much better

WD 130 does that mean you cut into the rear bulkhead (an engineered bit of kit) scary stuff mate .....i bought mud rails at 6'3 they were required and made a huge difference.

yes I took a nick out of the rear bulk head put a couple of bolts either side of the cut to maintain strength and also considered making a small bracket to strengthen the area but at this stage i dont think this is requaired but maybe I will get someone to have a look for a second oppinion! that sounds reasonable as you tell the whole story, i guess a plate between the bolts to spread the load might be useful
