    disc backing plate

    Hi all can someone tell me whats with the front disc rotor backing plates that like breaking off there mounts,mine has done it and so has my mates,is this a fault? do i buy new ones or do i just pull them off......wes.

    I assume you mean the disc brake shield that is there to keep crap off the discs? Do you have a lot of vibration up front? I would not throw them away! weld them up with a bit of reinforcing....and paint the weld so it does not rust.

    Take them off and throw them away

    More Hassle than they are worth . The clips always rust away or stones get caught beteen them and the Disc and make a hell of a noise. Or they bend slighly and then touch the disc make a horrid noise you spend ages trying to find

    Normally in the Uk they fall of with in a couple of years anyway
