That's an interesting vehicle!
Would you mind showing some more pics of how you have the rear seats set up?
I see you also have the usual children's toys to trip over in the workshop.

Just trial fitted an Airflow snorkel to the old girl and thought I`d post some pictures. I got the snorkel complete 2nd hand off trademe (NZ`s homegrown ebay) for $100 - so I couldn`t pass it up. (I hate home-made snorkels with a passion... sorry but they always look like a lash-up)
It came off a 110 V8 but seems to fit okay - the bungee cord is holding it roughly in place while I fabricate an upper mounting bracket.
There are plenty of river crossings in Otago, and the snorkel is cheap insurance against hydralicing the diesel.
Just need a winch and a locker and I`ll be set nowWith the torque of the B Diesel and the XZL`s its a great wee truck and a good daily driver.
Even has seats in the back for the kids...

Agree, nice looking vehicle.
Have you got pics of under the bonnet - I am interested how you plumbed the rest of the snorkel.
(P.S. "Lash up" obviously has a different meaning in NZ - unless you bought your snorkel in Oxford Street - baaaaaaaaby!)

Isn`t that typical - photos of my man-cave online and no-one sees any of the cool stuff, but spots the plastic lawnmower... I`d much rather people noticed the Snap-on roll cab but...
The rear seats are custom made for a P38A, and cost the previous owner $2500NZD - I paid $350 on trademe. Cream leather with blue piping, as well as in-built three point belts. They came from an outfilt called Retro interiors/upholstery here in NZ.
They sit on a fabricated box section which I have bolted through to the floor. They`re rated to 30kg each, as they are third-row seats only. However they are much more substantial and better engineered than <say> rearmost seats in a D1 for instance. I have sat on them, and there is no flex (and I weigh slightly more than 30kgs).
I`ll post some pics of the underside and belts if you want, but the price of them makes them crazy if buying new. I figure when the kids outgrow them I`ll flick them on for the same price and either fit rear buckets (like a Puma) or fit the std side facing seats for a while.

The snorkel plumbing is to come - but the aircleaner setup I run makes it pretty easy. The Dyna truck aircleaner housing has a plastic inlet running along the wing which terminates in a 65mm pipe. Connect 65mm tubing to both ends, add hoseclamps and voila, instant snorkel.
Induction noise will be interesting though... Will post pictures as I get it done..
