The Sellage of big red. for those who care.

Its been hinted at and heres the reasoning.

After much procrastination the SWMBO now is her own business doing dental work shes about in a position to be self sufficient and is also in a position to knock over a course that will extend what she can do with the business. Because shes only been at it for a few months she cant get a business loan to pay for the course due to a lack of financial history for the business.

We can easily redraw on either of our morgages but we're reluctant to do that as we are finally well and truely into the black on the budget to the point where we can actually afford to head up to townsville for xmas and fix some of the things on the property we're renting out.

Fozzys taken some heavy damage and my keep it going patches are just about at the limit of what I can do to keep it safe and reliable enough without taking it off the road to rework the chassis and the gearbox.

SWMBO is near on over the whole "driving a big car in the city" deal and wants to get into a smaller car potentially leasing one through her business so is happy for me to sell Big Red.

I'm also (due to a cockup in the paperwork in my favor) out of compulsory time on my current ADF enlistment and Ive had a couple of offers and enquireys that have me looking at modding big red partly to make her more suitable for what I want her to do and partly because doing the mods will make big red more comfortable for Alex and I can implement some changes to make camping setups a bit quicker and easier.

That would cost about $3.5K for the mods alone which connies been saving to put towards her business gear. (remembering that the mods to big red are primarily to ensure that big red is setup for a specific job)

I know it would cost me 3.5K for all the mods I want/need to make on big red as Ive had some quoting done after basing the body mods on the stuff in the photoshop wiz thread. Then some numpty posts up what is pretty much exactly what I need in terms of body mods in that thread and for cheaper than the mods Ive been quoted for in big red. (so while it doesnt have all the mod work done the body work and seating IS and I have the cash to do it without pulling a vehicle off the road)

That puts me in the position of (and this is assuming that the new vehicle is up to the requirements for modded vehicle rego)

I can pull Fozzy off the road, sort the chassis and box and get him back on the road

    Worst case.

SWMBO doesnt like the new rover so I wind up with it as a replacement for fozzy (who will probabley be parted out or sold for a song), she'll keep big red untill she can get a loan and then we'll sell her off (about 12 months from now)

    Expected Case

SWMBO will deal with the new rover and once fozzys fixed and back on the road Big red will be sold, she'll drive the new one, I'll drive fozzy, the business cops a cash injection and when its on its feet properly a small runabout car will be obtained through a business lease.

    Best case.

Pretty much as per the expected case but SWMBO will like the convenience of the dualcab setup so much that we wont have to waste money on leasing another car and because It was my idea I'll get lots of admiration, gratuitious sexual favors the business will take off and I'll be forced to retire into a hobby mechanic role while looking after Alex, bubs 2 and looking after the house never really working another day in my life.

Thats why Big Red may be up for sale, If all pans out, its a convenience thing.

What could you offer on a camping trip to make you shaggable and why would Dave want to shag you?

Lets just say one of the things Dave and myself have in common is a similar taste in what is shagable, I am sorry to inform you but it sounds like you do not fit the compulsory prerequisites, but, if Hell actually does freeze over and our secret attempts to clone a 1960's Barbara Eden (in Genie persona) fail, and the worlds population of women and sheep have been exhausted. Then, and only then, if we cannot find a shovel necessitated to perform an act of necrophilia, you'll be on the standby list.
