    Puma central locking playing up.

Had the Puma in for a problem with the central locking on the passenger door driver's side. It was not working. Having removed the trim and loosened the top screws on the inner metal plate it can be pulled slightly forward. On the locking side of the door there is a plastic unit where all the linkages connect. There is a plastic centre around which the outer one with the linkages is supposed to rotate. Mine was too tight with virtually no movement. The centre can be removed by removing the torx head screw and lining up the little lugs visible inside and pushing it towards the door skin. Once removed a run with a file around the centre piece and around the inside surface frees everything up. Add a dap of grease and reassemble. I suppose one could just replace the plastic unit if one had one, but failing that the above will suffice. Hope it benefits someone sometime.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I'll never have to find out if that makes sense, but I think it does.
