    Defender AC no go

    Hi,
Couple of weeks back went to turn the Air Conditioning on and nothing. Finally got around to looking at it last weekend, it is a '95 110 Defender Hardtop by the way, the fan in front of the passenger seat isn't working.
I can find the fuse for it in the main fuse box, all fuses are OK. Is the fuse somewhere else? The workshop manual has it it the main fuse box but I think that is from '96 onwards or those fancy wagons.
There is no power to the fan either, so I want to check the obvious.

Cheers and thanks for your help.

Your Defender has a locally fitted A/C kit(supplied by the now defunct AMC) so I'd say the workshop manual would be covering the genuine A/C only.

You might need to trace the wiring back & see where it heads to. I assume you've checked that you have gas in the system? Low pressure will cut out the compressor clutch so this system might have the fan linked to that circuit too as the Defender has A/C only fans. Temporarily bypass the LP switch to see.
