    Help Brake parts required

Hello All I am posting this in the hope someone may be able to help.
There are a couple from the Netherlands that are travelling around aus in a landrover110 300 tdi 98 model LHD that they brought with them, however they are stuck in Bunbury W.A. as the front calipers developed a leak and nobody seems to be able to Identify the parts (seals ) needed. These are 4 piston/ slotted rotors. The vehicle has been modified before they left the Netherlands from a manual to an auto and we believe that the brakes were upgraded as well ( they bought the vehicle like this). I have included pics as to try and help identify what it is and what is required. We believe that this mod was a something that was done to the army defenders in Europe, but I cannot confirm this. I have looked on Rave and microcat but am unable to see anything that looks like this. The part required is app 13mm long with a rubber seal and a metal tube inside that acts like a spacer between the 2 halves of the caliper They have a website www.travelsick.nl if anyone wishes to see the defender and all its mods.

JC and Blacknight have u seen anything like this?

They will eventually be heading to Melbourne for xmas if they can get the defender fixed and am hoping that the landrover comaderie and hospitality will continue where ever they go in aus. I have been helping them while they have been in Perth with locations and places to go see.
Dons ph Number is 0415293032 if you can help or email me via the forum
    Many Thanks

At a guess I'd say that'd be the kit to turn solid disc front brakes into vented disc front brakes.

I'm no expert but it looks like it has had a solid to vented rotor conversion using spacers so should use the standard LR seals, part numbers on the calipers will confirm this.

I believe that it may be a spacer plate setup fitted to the calipers to allow the running of the wider vented rotors on the front end...

a hydraulic shop should be able to help out remaking the part. which should be setup like a suspension bush for a springleaf vehicle with a metal sleeve on the outside a cushion rubber in the center supporting a piece of brake bunding with a pair of sealing orings.

It shouldnt be a huge deal to re-retrofit the original size defender calipers and rotors.

I think the seals are not a standard service part and are difficult to find.

Sounds like the options are new seals, or new spacer kit, or new calipers, or convert back to solid discs, but that brings you back to seals.

I think the caliper spacer kit is about $300 and comes with all the seals and stuff.
