Chassis repairs
Hi All,
I have put a similar post on the Defender forum with no luck, but am hoping to get some help here. I Have just found a small rusted though section on the bottom of the chassis rail about 100mm back from the gearbox crossmember bracket plate. The damaged section is about 350mm long it seems.
This is on a Defender 130. i need to know what plate thickness is needed to repair the damage. I will cut out the damage with a grinder and weld in the new section. I cant see any structural issues as I have been driving around with it loke this for over a year (it was beautifully hidden only just boken the surface).
Please help I would like to sort this out ASAP.
