    Pics of the new fender

    Hi all,

Just took delivery of the new defender a couple of weeks ago. rather exciting

below are a couple of pics I took whilst working up in the Vic high country - there are worse places to be!

Have plans to out fit the vehicle (don't we all!) over the next couple of years but so far have restricted myself to the bare essentials - a dual battery system (traxide self install) to help with keeping the drinks cold and a side step to allow my little fullas to hop on in!

The car's been great to drive although the ride didn't really express itself fully until off road at which point the difference between the hilux 4x4 i'd been belting around in became quite apparent to say the least!
    Lovin' it!

    Pete

The photos are at Edmonsons Hut - just off the big river fire trail (out from Falls Creek). I do a bit of work for Parks Vic and finding myself out that way earlier this week thought - aaah, time for a happy snap!

Yeah I know - it was a toss up - still pretty happy with the Stornoway although I reckon the non-colour matched pop-rivets they add on australian shores would probably stand out a little less in the silver!

Yes they are much less visible on the Zermatt Silver

The lack of colour matching isn't an Australian thing it's just part of being a Defender.

yeah right - just running out the excuse the salesman gave! something about pop rivets added to make the car meet australian standards. sounds like something a car salesman might say!

no I believe that is true...the pop rivets behind the door is something only the Australian markets get.....the ones in other markets I believe are colour coded like the rest of the rivets on the car..

I dont believe it is an australian standard thing as in it has to meet rules and ADR more that it was what Australia asked for..(apparently)

Nice one Bender great colour choice... You know stornoway grey 110's are not only the best looking defenders there also the most reliable of all the colours ... Don't worry about DM too much he secretly wants a stornoway grey one like the both of us....
