    Unhappy Over senstitive wipers???

Finally have had a chance to use the windscreen wipers.
New issue arises. I have rain sensing wipers but on the intermittent setting on the least sensitive setting they are still far too sensitive. Any ideas on recalibrating the sensitivity or even the ability to change them back to normal variable intermittent?

    Cheers

On the D4 fuse 31 in the passenger compartment fuse box is for the rain sensor (& reversing camera). If the D3 is the same then removing the fuse would probably stop the rain sensor but may not cause it to revert to normal intermittent operation. Maybe I'll need to try that before long too.

Edit: MY08 wiring diagram shows fuse 18.

If you don't want the sensor to operate, why don't you just flick the stalk down to the off position? rather than removing the fuse?

Sensitivity can be crudely controlled by turning the bezel on the stalk ( and turning it up once will cause the wipers to activate in one sweep)

Mine were over sensitive once and I cleaned the windscreen thorougly over the sensor and that fixed it

    Hi Jamo,
Thanks. I like to use the intermittent setting and its gets abit tedious using the single wipe function. I have already set the bezel at least sensitive mark but it stills wipes too frequently. I will try cleaning the screen over the sensor. Where is it? I haven't looked in the manual yet.

    Cheers
    Steve.
