    Question Will it fit

    Hi

Thinking of buying a fender 130 tdi for a trip to the Cape in May but will it fit into my garage as I want to keep it under cover.
Having never owned or driven one I need to know the average height, and also the dimensions of the tray/tub etc, the main concern is the roller door which is 2160mm when opened.
Also as I live in Sheffield Tas has any one Justins phone number re some work done on my S1

    Thanks

you *should* be okay. Mine, with the roofrack, will squeeze into a 2.2m car park.

Just did a quick check - standard height of a 130 crew cab is 80.1", or 2035 mm - that gives you 125 mm to play with. Loads of room

Disclaimer: For the love of God, measure it first before you drive hell for leather at the garage door, based only on my measurements

Justin is in the whitepages for Kingston area. Send him a PM is the easiest way to get in touch.

Allow 2.1m for a stock standard Defender and you'll be fine but if it's had suspension changes or tyres are bigger than 235/85R16 or has anything above the roof line, measure it!

My Puma won't clear 2.3m with the roof rack

a 130's quite long as well.

Ive heard tell of one owner who checked to make sure the height was right and then when he pushed the down button on his roller door on his sydney doghouse garage it stopped about a foot into the tub.

Id put a shameless plug in here for my 110 but you're after a 130 and probabley have a reason for wanting one.

do you want a dual cab or single with a big tray and why?

Is your drive way flat ?

The approach angle will make all the difference.

Due to my driveway being uphill to the garage, I have to drive in nose first, if I were to reverse, the rear roof line of the Puma, would hit the brick work above the roller door.

Door opening is 2105mm, Rear roof line is 2005mm, but you can't reverse in due to approach angle.

    Somthing to be aware of.

    will it fit

    Thanks for the quick replies,

Shed is 6m long so length should not be a problem, level ground but sweated a bit when I first drove the disco in with 50mm lift just fits with
with about 50mm to spare, have to get one without a rack on top.

Why do I want 130, was thinking of putting a rooftop tent on the tray or tub, otherwise a 110 would be fine, only thinking of getting one because
of the room, save dragging a trailer.

Why a TDI 300 all I have read about them seems ok slow but sure, how noisy are they inside.

6m without a towbar or bullbar will leave about 80cm space on the length of a 130.

Sounds like you've done your homework.
