    D3 Coffee Cup Inserts

Just thought I'd post this in its own thread in case someone is looking for these at some stage in the future and does a search.

My local Landrover Service Centre didn't know about them and was unable to find anything out about them, but Bushwanderer (on this site) managed to contact a mate in the UK who could confirm the cupholder insert part number is FWW500160 (thank you so much Bushwanderer).

I fed the part number back to Austral Motors and asked them to order some. They arrived (over the Christmas period) in about 3 weeks and cost about $14 including GST.

I've since been told the cupholders in the Disco are designed to hold the large 1+ litre water bottles. With the cup inserts they now hold our coffee cups and kids' waterbottles snuggly without them rolling around or getting dangerous. The cupholder inserts are not suitable for the very back cupholders though.

Hope this information is helpful to someone in the future.

Hi, any chance of a photo or two? Just did a Google Image Search and didn't come up with anything.

Yup, that's them Eddomak. They push down inside the current cupholders thus making their diameter smaller.

They replace the standard cupholders and a mere are $29 a pair from your friendly dealer. Standard on '09 D3s and all D4s. Recommended to stop the corrugations ruining the froth on one's latemaccafuchachino.

Please, have you failed to inform us here of a suitable espresso type machine for the D3/D4 or is this a coming review in overlander ?

On the other hand, are you just adding extra sugar to overcome bitterness when using a electrically heated mug ?

My D3 had been fitted with an aftermarket device designed to make coffees and perform other useful functions, although it is somewhat temperamental and requires careful handling. The device is carried in the passenger seat and will not be reviewed for Overlander although I may consider evaluating certain functions of similar devices owned by others.
