Bowlers are great. Did you see that one roll over into that hole, get pulled back upright and then just drive out of the hole! Awesome.

That ditch claimed many vehicles! not a lot can be said for that officials navy skills... But as for entertainment value im glad he was there

It sure was impressive to see the Bowler simply drive on out of there in one go!

But man the trucks amaze me!

The trucks are amazing. Did you hear they had to limit them to 150 km/h because they were going faster than the cars!

Love the scenery too. I definitely want to tour Chile and Argentina.

That was a number of years ago that the limiters were introduced. They were capable of over 200k's back then I believe.

Chagin the driver of a Kamaz truck has just won his 56th stage victory which is a record for any participant (and he is only 40). He is also set for his 6th victory if he can stay out of trouble over the last couple of stages.
The trucks were speed restricted because of too many accidents caused by excessive speed.
Two days ago one of the policeman "officials" had blocked off the wrong part of a Y junction and had the motorcyclists go down the wrong road. After about 6ks down the wrong road they regrouped and went through the road block and continued on the rally.

Great show, amazing stamina both for drivers, riders and machines.
On a hot day some of the guys on the bikes can loose up to 15L of fluid and they have to re-hydrate before going to sleep.
Dehydration has killed people in their sleep.
They know they have hydrated if they need to ****. Than they get some shut eye.

    Freaky race.
