In 1984, my very first car was a 1966 2a

I have been hunting for ages to find these pics to share and finally found them.
She was a 1966 IIa lwb ute that I bought off an old farmer in Glenorchy Vic for $800.00. It was totally stock with the 4 cyl petrol eng.
From memory the only mods I ever done to it were an old home made timber o/head console with a radio and c.b mounted in it and a bullbar that my brother gave me off his old xd Falcon panel van.

Living near the grampians at the time, we would have a ball off roading and shooting, and in summer our time was spent at Lake Lonsdale with my brothers and local friends.
The pics of the car in the lake, were taken at Lake Lonsdale when it was full, but today the same area is a desert. Very sad..
The other pics were taken in the Grampians and a few of one of a shooting weekend. I would borrow the rear seat out of my brothers boat and it would fit nice in the back of the ute for a bit of comfort.
I threw in a pic of our bbq plate, which was an old swing saw blade that I used to use.

Any way , I hope you enjoy them as much as I have after finding them again.

    Red face

In 1984 my first car was my mum's 1976 burnt orange Datsun 180B station wagon. I didn't even own it.

It had an AM radio, no A/C, dark brown vinyl trim.

A Landy would have been much cooler.

I had one of those - well it was a SSS coupe though. Love that orange - almost the G4 colour
