    Leaving shortly.

You do realise this is going to be "Man Pain" which is far worse than anything women experience!

Doesn't seem that this was a long term review.

There is no issue with EBCs and Discoverys, that comment is misleading and meant "at the time of the test that vehicle did not have one fitted." I had that car in late Dec and it did not have one, but I understand it has now been fitted. I presume that video was filmed before late Dec '09 although it was posted in January.

Many press cars have EBCs for towing tests. All you need to do is ask the press office and give them enough notice.

Without an EBC you're limited to 2000kg with overrun brakes and the reviewer quite reasonably wanted an EBC and a heavy trailer to really test the D4.

What surprised me the most when buying the D4 was that it didn't have an integrated EBC. They seem to have gone to great lengths to make it a capable tow car yet they don't fit an EBC.

My boss who has a 2009 D3 TDV6 has electric brakes fitted, no dramas.

    Pedro,
I've recently fitted an EBC to my D3, when I spoke to LR there was a list of horrific things that could happen if you got the wiring wrong on the back of the brake pedal, normally there are only two wires on a pedal switch, on the D3 I think there are 4, two out of the four have an electronic pulse sent down them every ten seconds to check the integrity of the circuit, if you press the brake and at the same time one of these pulses is sent down the cable the the system goes into limp mode because the computer has detected something odd. This then requires a reset via test book or some other means.
This is what I was told anyway. I fitted my EBC and used the more substantial cable as the brake controller feed, everything works fine on my vehicle so far.
