I had a MkIV roof top unit on a SIII 109 wagon years ago. It was a huge box that sat square on top of the roof. It increased overhead height by the best part of a foot. I would avoid one like it if you can.

Why not fit a second evaporator/blower unit into the rear, possibly at the back of the front seat cubbybox or on the rear floor. A lot of people movers have similar systems some even with secondary controls. The fridgy doing the set up just needs to know what he's doing when it's installed.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I previously worked for Thiess managing all the mining vehicles from purchase to disposal. The Troopies were fitted with roof systems by Autofrost in Sydney. Approx $3600 per unit ...and they keep the vehicle super cool.

    Food for thought.
