Vivid Sydney - Opera House Timelapse

Been working a back log of stuff. Here's a timelapse of the lighting on the Sydney Opera House during the Vivid Sydney Festival in June 2009.

This was a couple of hours worth of stills taken with my D300 and turned into a couple of minutes movie.

That was really well done great effort. What time of night did you take the photographs. The harbour seems quite busy what ever time it was.

Thanks. Think I stopped shooting these about 11:45 or so. I was kicking myself because the the display stopped 10 minutes later with some different patterns.

Thanks for sharing. Nice effect putting it in to video too.

I like the effect the ferries and larger boats had, almost a scene transition. I suspect you must have wanted to sink a couple of those really close ones. Of course you would have sunk them if you were shooting with a Canon

The patterns? They had whopping big projectors set up on the overseas visitors terminal and Mrs Mac's Chair. The projectors were masked somehow to only light up the sails as required.
