why do you need to get under the drivers seat with a second tank fitted there?

relocate the filler or use a highflow pump to fill it from the main tank down the back....

    OR

swap the battery and fuel tank left to right. How often do you REALLY check the battery?

Try Recaro or a Stratos suspension seat. Check the mounts out. I seem to recall the Stratos seat makes use of the existing mounts, and you can still access under the seat. I think Opposite Lock carry the Stratos range.

Not hard to lift them and move them further back. Need to lift at least 1" to clear the lip behind. Use some 1" square tubing and cut out some light plate to weld to it to make the bolt flanges. you need flanges on the bottom of the tube to line up with the holes in the seat boxes and flanges on the top to bolt the seats to. Four short lengths of tube and sixteen flanges. Piece of cake, particularly if you have access to a profile cutter or plasma cutter.
