    FL1 Stereo replacement

Here is a bit of info that I hope makes it easier for someone swapping a FL1 stereo.
Just replaced the factory stereo in my parents 2001 TD4. Factory model was a Phillips R770 model and the replacement stereo is a Sony.
The Sony does not have the steering wheel controls nor disply in car clock but that does not bother my folks.
Apart from having to jiggle the stereo a bit to remove it using the bent wire in the holes trick it all went well.
For the wiring I used a Raptor Installation Accessories WHSY3 Radio Harness Sony 16 pin adaptor and this plugged straight into the car loom and the stereo. For the aerial I used a Euroapt aerial aerail adaptor to convert from european standard aerial to conventional plug.
All parts from my local Repco and under NZ$20 all up.

Curious... maybe it was different in NZ. My wife's 2001 TD4 had a Eurovox with CD stacker as standard... and no steering wheel controls.

I replaced it with this JVC unit
