    BFG KM2s

Contemplating fitting some BFG KM2 MTs to my D3 17" alloys. I know that 245/70/17 will fit but wondered how much bigger I could go before I have rubbing in the wheel arch. Also must be able to fit into spare wheel place. I see that some people are using 265/70/17.

A mate of mine runs 32 inch Maxxis Bighorns on his D3 and he only gets minor rubbing. Nothing to be worried about. His is a tdv6 and he doesnt notice the larger tyres. Depends on what sort of driving your doing...

BTw - the Km2s are a nice tyre. I have the old KMs and would definitely try the new ones. They have worn very well. The new ones look the goods too!

I have Maxxis Bighorns on my D3 - no suspension lift required.

    Cheers,

I have the KM2 245/70/17 and they are fantastic. They just fit under the car and are 13mm bigger than standard so are legal. a big recommendation from me. go get them.

With regard to Vicroads rules on tyre sizes just found this on the Vicroads website:
    OVERALL DIAMETER
Section LS Tyres, Rims, Suspension & Steering
The overall diameter of any tyre fitted to a passenger car or passenger car derivative must not be more than 15mm larger or 26mm smaller than that of any tyre designated by the vehicle manufacturer for that model.
The overall diameter of any tyre fitted to an off-road passenger vehicle or a commercial vehicle must not be more than 50mm larger or 26mm smaller than that of any tyre designated by the vehicle manufacturer for that model.
Speedometer accuracy must be maintained for the selected tyre and rim combination to within the degree of accuracy specified in ADR 18 where applicable.

That's the size I'd like to have on my D4. I'm not keen on big tyres and this size is generally LT with a LI of 119 and there are lots of brand options.
