disco 3 in dash GPS, Bluetooth and reversing camera

Hi all- new to you forum after picking up a D3 SE td6 yesterday. Drives well but after my last car I found my reversing skills with out a camera are pathetic and hooking up the trailer is very easy with a rear camera. The GPS and phone connection with the old SUV ( Lexus) was pretty handy even a little off road tracks covered in the places it could get to. Asked at Lance Dixson Doncaster who suggested Freeway Car Audio
Freeway Car Audio | GPS Navigation | Sales & Installation | Melbourne
they suggested about 3k installed for the unit pictured which has GSP, Bluetooth and a reversing camera. Asked at Auto Barn who quoted a lot less for a difernet brand (under 2k)
Has anyone fited a GPS, camera and phone in a D3 and how has your expiriance been with it?

I have been looking at a discovery for about three years. Got talked into waiting for a new D4 but pulled out of that idea as soon as I read about the wheel size issues with the d4- Thanks in advance

    G'Day James,

Welcome to the Land Rover fraternity and congratulations on your purchase! The TDV6 SE is a great vehicle. What year of manufacture did you buy?

You most likely have searched various threads but visit here D3 / D4 Zone - Australian Land Rover Owners - a wealth of information.

Hopefully this search result link works. There are a few previous posts on what D3 owners have done or considered. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/search.php'searchid=1603516

I would suggest posting a link to your question in the GPS section in the D3-D4 Zone.

Can give you some ideas on servicing and see if I can get a yellow sticker on the back of your shiny D3! PM me re servicing if you like.

    Peter Phillips
P.S. Oliver likes my D2, had his first off road outing up around Powelltown on Saturday. Not bad for a 11 month old.

Yellow Sticker = LROCV Club Sticker (Land Rover Owners' Club of Victoria
    I'll PM you about it.

Even sitting stuck in a hole on Burns Tk, Powelltown on Saturday for 30+ mins was ok with him. Bit of shovel work and a gentle tow backwards got me out.
