Expedition Roof Racks & Side Steps

Am looking at possibly having one if the new LR genuine expedition racks with ladder fitted to my new vehicle instead of the Hannibal I have now.

Have been very happy overall with the Hannibal - size, wind noise and versatility with the slotted tracks and variety of innovative bolt-ons. Only downside has been toughness.

Being alum, has required a fair amount of straightening (upper rails) from love taps with the local trackside fauna... (someone has to do the vegetation management right?!).

The downside of steel (eg ARB racks) is weight, but the new LR expedition rack looks slightly lighter having a less dense floor (grateful for any specs). All experience appreciated.

Also Looking for the best set of steps - ideally higher mounted than the tubes from LR (and tougher). Thanks Gav

So, does that mean you're getting rid of the Hannibal rack? If so, I'm interested.
