    lpg tank capacity.

Have been looking at the posts re LPG tank capacities and I may be wrong but surely a 60l tank is a 60l tank. That is the volume of the tank. No matter what you put in it, LPG, water or treacle, its still a 60l tank. The weight or mass of what you put in there will be different, but it will still be the same volume.

All modern lpg tanks have a fill limiter valve that limits filling to 80% of
their water capacity. This is to allow for expansion.

I have had a couple of conversions now and asked the installer similar question.

Your fill valve may need adjustment of the float -- or the tank my not be installed correctly. You should get about 88 litres in.

Post a picture of your tank and the inside of the control box, we'll soon tell you what's wrong with it.

Water capacity means exactly that, it's a recognised test for stretching, and can be done on a simple weighing scale. Less error than with ladling litres of fluid in.

LPG capacity is set by the automatic fill limiter (AFL) and by law (AS1425) should shut off at +/- 2% of the rated LPG capacity. In the example of the 110WC tank it should fill to 88 +/- 1.75 litres. Otherwise it's not legal!
