Did you add the one I sent you details about?
-
Have gone back over 2 years in my PM mailbox and the only message about an FC was a 101 at Nundle.
-
I would just like to add 30100192B to the registry it is a 6 cylinder cab chassis 2A from the vin number.
-
and here was me thinking it was some ancient history notice. When you sent me that message I updated the post number 8 which has the list of all FC in the Grenville Motors books plus the extras we know are here and an extra.

Had an interesting meeting at the Land Rover 70th. Hanging around the forward controls on display was a chap, neatly dressed with fedora hat and sporting a proud handlebar moustache. His name was Wolfgang Laub, a name that sparked a memory from the Grenville Books "W. Laub 33100434D".
Wolfgang was the garbage contractor for Thredbo Village in the 1970's, this piece of information solved a second quandary. Also at Cooma was a cab chassis S2A on the records as SMHEA, manypeople were suggesting that it may have been the garbage truck, however we now know that was Wolfgang's S2B #434D.

P.S. It is possible that our discussion took place while standing next to the now hybrid S2B 33100434D

Description of Vehicle
This Forward Control Landrover is available as a full "from the ground up" restoration project.
To assist with this, a Series 2A Landrover is included as donor vehicle. The 2A has the same wheel base width as the Forward Control.
This is the early version of Forward Control Landys: a 2A built from 1962 to 1966.
It was one of the Forward Controls imported from the UK for the construction of the Snowy Mountain Hydro Electric Scheme.
The recent history of this Forward Control is available, from 1982 onwards.
According to reports from one of the big Landrover shows in Kelmarsh England, these very rare early Forward Controls are very collectable.
There is some rust in the chassis but otherwise this Forward Control is very good structurally.
These vehicles are based in Denmark, on the south coast of Western Australia.
Both vehicles are to be sold together. Ideally, we would like for this to go to a Landrover enthusiast who has a view to restoring the Forward Control
