    My First Forward Control

Continuing from my thread on Introductions, this is the last transformation of the 2a F.C. from Bougainville. The Perkins 6-247 was removed, and a kit from Zenith Engineering in Brisbane let me put a 4BD1 onto a LT95. I grafted the 2a remote gear change linkage onto the gear box top rather than go the 2b way and have a lever between the seats. The track widened 4" when the 2b chassis went under, Maxis back & front in Salisburys, heavy coil spring front beefed up leaf rear. 10,000 lb Ramsey hydraulic winch under tray. Now in semi retirement since we built the present one.

    Didiman.

    It looks like a beast!

I just love the lines of the forward control. All your mods sound interesting. How does she go? How do you have the rear setup?

You should talk to Oliver 1981.
I have seen his machine this weekend.
It runs Isuzu motor LT95 ,coil springs and large winch on the front.
It criuses at 100 kph and seems to work well off road with a motor home type body on the back.
