    junction box tidy up- help

    Hi gang,

been looking at my junction box to try and get my horn working better. The horn works a treat hooked to the battery, but just not through the junction box. I've looked at a earth which seems related, but no improvement as yet.

Wondering if anyone who know's a bit about electrics could be enticed over for an hour or two to tidy up the box's wiring. Though in good condition all the wires sheaths are blackish, and I think it's a bit bum about. There is a bridging wire in there the work shop manual wiring diagrams suggests shouldn't be. Also the wires from the steering column don't relate to the wiring diagram's colours at all.
Oddly enough all the electrics work, but the horn is very muffled and won't pass a RWC.

Happy to supply choice of beer, and pizza, indian etc, whatever for someones generosity. Would probably have to be arvo's or nights however.

    thanks
    Jason

Mate, most likely due to voltage drop through dirty connections and possibly the old wires.

I can pop around for you any afternoon as I finish around 230-3pm and sometimes have to drop stuff to Rocklea anyway. Could even be today if you want, as I happen to have some gear with me in the car.

Seeing and working on your fine vehicle will be payment enough.

    Cheers
