Very nice well spotted.
My family were one of the pioneering families on the mighty Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme.
My dad worked in civil engineering there throughout the entire project.
He drove Land Rovers in the often harsh and extreme weather, and challenging environmental conditions.
It was a few years after the war (ww2) ended, that the biggest construction project in the history of Australia, began.
The Snowy Mountains Authority bought it's first Land Rovers - a couple of shorty Series ones.
By around the mid sixties, they had bought several hundred Landys.
In 2008, my son and I were in the heart of Land Rover beginnings, Cooma, for the 60th Anniversary of Land Rover.
It was an awesome event, with extra special personal and historical significance for me.
And, whilst there we were 'loaned' an old 88" Series 3 for the occasion, by a kindly ol' Snowy chap. Such is the bond and tangible camaraderie of 'snowy family'.
Gotta get back there soon . . . (if only the 65th were to be held in Cooma . . )

Great image tickfords and another 80 further back. Love the Power Wagon
But never heard about the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electricty Scheme!
And the big stuff:
My uncle worked on the Snowy Hydro Scheme.
He was there during the fifties and sixties, retiring from it in about 1967.
from memory one of the employers he worked for was "Utah Constructions"
He had loads of fantastic photographs that he would show us.
He was a bachelor and loved working up there in those days!
Cheers, Mick.

Hey Mick, sorry for digging up and old post but I’ve just recently purchased a 1957 88” which I’ve been led to believe was an old Utah Constructions vehicle. I’m trying to get some evidence to support this so I was wondering whether you had access to any of those old photos on the very slim chance I could place my car amongst them all. All good if not, just wanted to shoot my shot! Cheers, Jackson
